In this episode of Learn With Sue, Walk and Talk with Sue Langley, founder of the Langley Group. Sue inspires people to apply emotional intelligence, positive psychology, and neuroscience to achieve the best outcomes.

While chatting with Sue, Carol describes her journey from being told she was “dumb and stupid” as a child to now identifying as a “life strategist” and “wise woman” after completing a PhD later in life.

She used her PhD and other studies, including a Diploma in Positive Psychology, to help her process grief after the death of her husband and transition to a new chapter of her life.

Carol has found ways to apply positive psychology principles, such as writing acrostic poems, doing jigsaw puzzles, and using mindfulness practices.

Carol is working on two book projects – one called “Life’s Next Path”, which guides people at a life crossroads, and another called “Flying Solo: Strategies for Overcoming Aloneness”, which will explore the experience of aloneness and strategies for coping with it.

Carol hopes her work can inspire others, especially younger generations, to pursue their goals and passions at any age and not be limited by others’ perceptions of their abilities.
